Wenger targets cup glory

Gunners boss sets his sights on silverware

Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal will be going all out to win the Carling Cup after reaching the final.

The Gunners booked their place at Wembley on Tuesday with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Championship outfit Ipswich.

They had trailed 1-0 heading into the second leg of that contest, but goals from Nicklas Bendtner, Laurent Koscielny and Cesc Fabregas saw them turn the tie around on home soil.

Following the convincing midweek success at the Emirates, Wenger insisted that his side will place as much importance on the Carling Cup as they will on any other competition.

"We are happy because it was one of our targets," he told Sky Sports on reaching the final.

"Once you are in the semi-final of course you don't want to waste the opportunity.

"We had a bad result in the first tie so we were under a bit of pressure tonight, but we handled that quite well because we didn't give any chances away and we scored three goals.
